Andrew Nalle

Andrew Nalle’s farming and vineyard roots in Dry Creek Valley go back well over a century. By the time he was six, Andrew was helping his parents during harvest and in the cellar. After graduating in 2002 from the University of Redlands with a degree in Philosophy and Baseball, Andrew found himself back in Dry Creek Valley. While finishing his undergraduate degree, he helped in the winery and found his life’s calling was right here.

Today, between running a winery, making wine and helping with three young children, Andrew completed a master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology at California State University, Fresno, with a specialty in Fermentation Science. Andrew also studied Enology and Viticulture at Santa Rosa Junior College and U.C. Davis Extension, honing his skills as a winemaker while continuing his hands-on education at the winery. Andrew has visited many other winegrowing regions of the world, including France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and worked a harvest in South Africa, developing an international palate.

He enjoys time with wife April and their children (Lena, Drew and Ruby), growing their own food, cooking, Aikido, Crossfit, golf and consulting with Doug about Zinfandel’s finer points and pitching. He is justifiably proud of his fifth-generation presence in Dry Creek Valley, injecting a healthy dose of creativity and passion for wine and grapes.
