Jill Young

Having spent many years in California’s wine country helping to brand and market wineries, hospitality and real estate businesses, Jill fell in love with Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley. In 2007 Jill and her husband, Jay, purchased their home on West Dry Creek Road and in 2010 she moved her advertising and marketing firm, Headwaters LLC, to Healdsburg. Jill’s experience has included virtually everything involved in the creation and implementation of marketing and promotional programs… plus highly original advertising and direct mail campaigns. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and attended Yale School of Music and Art with a full fellowship. She was also awarded the Wilder Traveling Scholarship for studies in Europe. Jill was a Raven Theatre board member for 3 years, a guest lecturer for the Academy of Art and the University of San Francisco and Vice President of San Francisco’s Fort Mason Community Garden for nine years. Gardening and growing Sauvignon Blanc is a passion for her. She is an equestrian, a Dressage and Three-Day competitor and a member of the Hannovarian Society since 1978, raising and breeding Hannovarians. Painting is an equal passion. She is an active member of the California Water Color Association and has exhibited in the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Tate Museum Santa Clara, Oakland Art Museum, One Market Plaza, San Francisco as well as at local and national juried shows. She is currently on the Russian Riverkeeper board of directors.
