Johnathon Bishop
Johnathon Bishop was born in Southern Oregon, grew up on the family’s farm and graduated from Oregon State University with Bachelor Degrees in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Business. His career includes the coordination and management of a wide range of environmental, forestry, agriculture and conservation projects throughout the west coast and Alaska as well as several management positions within the Napa and Sonoma County wine industry. For approximately 10 years he operated his own environmental consulting company focused on providing landowners, environmental organizations and regulatory agencies with a wide range of land-based services. He currently serves as an Environmental Engineer for the County of Sonoma.
He is a Fellow of The Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy and is the co-founder of an electric motor and drive systems company focused on developing new technologies for electric vehicles, watercraft and bikes.
Johnathon is married to his wife Erica, who is a State Farm Agent in Cloverdale. They have two children, Jackson and Clayton and have resided in Healdsburg since moving to California in 2003.
Johnathon joined the DCVA with an interest to help preserve the unique natural landscape and resources of the Dry Creek Valley as well as support a healthy agriculture industry.
